This past weekend’s round of NWA shows saw history being made, new champions crowned, careers ended, and the return of The Nature Boy Ric Flair.

Making his first appearance in an NWA ring for over 30 years, Flair cut a promo in the way that only Flair can, putting over everyone from Vince McMahon, to Triple H, Randy Orton through his daughter Charlotte Flair.

Interestingly, Flair also hinted at ‘having a drink with Tony Khan on Thursday’ amidst wild speculation that Flair could join AEW. However Flair preceded this in his promo by saying that ‘wrestling needs brands, and not everyone can work for WWE and AEW’.

Rumours of Flair becoming All Elite intensified after AAA TripleMania XXIX, when Flair made a surprise appearance in the corner of future son-in-lad Andrade El Idolo in Andrade’s AAA Mega Championship bout with Kenny Omega. With Andrade in AEW most put two and two together and assumed it was only a matter of time before Flair joined El Idolo’s entourage.
