Ric Flair Pushing To Get More Physical In AEW

Pro wrestling is in Ric Flair’s blood, with the legendary ‘Nature Boy’ having found it hard to shake the wrestling bug since his first retirement at WWE WrestleMania XXIV in 2008.

Now in All Elite Wrestling, Flair serves as a corner man to Sting and Darby Allin, but that doesn’t mean Flair doesn’t want to get involved with the action, with a report from Fightful Select suggesting that the multi-time world champion has been ‘actively pushing’ to do more spots in the company.

Flair has signed a multi-year deal with AEW, and despite not being factored in for any in-ring activity, Flair has brawled with active stars in kayfabe, tangling with Christian Cage at Full Gear in November 2023. Since signing, Flair has been vocal about wanting to work an AEW match.

‘Naitch’ last wrestled in July 2022, tagging with son-in-law Andrade el Idolo against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in a Jim Crockett Promotions ring for the aptly named ‘Ric Flair’s Last Match’ event in Nashville, Tennessee. Flair struggled through the match, blacking out at several points during the bout.
