REVEALED: What Sting Did After AEW Dynamite Went Off The Air
Sting remained in the ring after AEW Dynamite went off the air
Feb 29, 2024
Sting made his final AEW Dynamite appearance as a professional wrestler on February 28, appearing in the final segment of All Elite Wrestling's flagship show on Wednesday night.
The show featured the final build to Sting's retirement match and there was quickly a brawl after Darby Allin, who was pretending to be a fan at ringside, sneak attacked The Young Bucks. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson soon gained the upper hand with baseball bats, though, and they even took out Ric Flair with a Low Blow.
As The Young Bucks beat down Flair, Sting's music filled the arena and The Icon acted like it was 1997, coming down from the rafters to appear behind the Jacksons and take them down with baseball bat shots of his own. Darby and Sting then ended the show standing tall, even as the Young Bucks said they had a nice severance package planned for Sting after Sunday.
After Dynamite went off the air, Sting thanked the fans in Huntsville, Alabama for their support over the years. He then put over Darby Allin and Ric Flair for helping him during his final run as an in-ring performer.
Sting and Darby Allin will defend the AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks in Sting's retirement match at Revolution on Sunday, March 3.
