Report: WWE Raw & SmackDown Live Writers Fired Last Week

reported on Monday that two veteran WWE writers have been recently let go from the company.
Steve Oppenheim had been with WWE since 2011, and worked as the "in-office lead writer" for WWE Raw. Steve Guerreri, meanwhile, had been with WWE since 2012, and his reported job title was co-lead writer for SmackDown Live.
According to Satin's sources, the decision to part ways with both men was not made by either Paul Heyman or Eric Bischoff, the new Executive Directors for WWE Raw and SmackDown Live, respectively.
No reason for the departure of either Oppenheim or Guerreri has been reported.
Other key creative figures to leave WWE over the past several months include Robert "RD" Evans, who departed from the company shortly after the 2019 Hall of Fame ceremony, reportedly after an incident with Vince McMahon (allegedly due to McMahon taking issue with his name being mentioned by inductees).
Lead Raw scribe Ryan Callahan
was let go from the company in May, reportedly due to issues with veteran company writer Dave Kapoor.
