All Elite Wrestling's new Saturday night TV show, AEW Collision, debuted back on June 17 and the show started off strongly, averaging 816,000 viewers and a 0.33 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. The second episode on June 24 experienced a similar drop to past AEW TV shows, averaging 595,000 viewers and a 0.21 rating in the key demo.

The reaction to the ratings amongst some sections of pro wrestling fans has been as divisive as ever but the internal reaction within Warner Bros. Discovery won't have been anywhere near as polarising. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Warner Bros. Discovery was hoping to draw ratings similar to the second episode from AEW Collision of between 550,000 to 600,000 viewers and around a 0.21 rating in the key 18-49 demo.

If the AEW Collision ratings remain steady in the United States, Meltzer noted the show will be second in its time slot on cable and third overall on TV. If viewership continues to fall, however, then Collision will be "in disappointing territory." Meltzer also stated the number of people watching TV as a whole on Saturday is far lower than Wednesday nights, when AEW Dyamite airs, and that overall audience share for the second episode of Collision was higher than last week's Dynamite.

AEW will air a taped episode of Collision on Saturday, July 1. Check out full spoilers for the show here.
