Report: Update On Adam Cole's Injury
Latest on Adam Cole's injury following AEW Double Or Nothing
Jun 6, 2022
An update has emerged on Adam Cole's injury.
The former NXT Champion performed in the final of the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament on Sunday, May 29, defeating Samoa Joe to win the cup, but Cole's shoulder was heavily taped throughout the contest.
Cole was then pulled from a scheduled 10-man tag with The Young Bucks and reDRagon against The Hardys, Jurassic Express, and Christian Cage on last week's episode of Dynamite and it was noted that Cole was dealing with a shoulder injury.
In an update, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cole "probably" won't be in action until AEW's joint pay-per-view with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Forbidden Door, on June 26. There is no word on how Cole will be involved on the show as of yet.
Cole's absence comes at a difficult time for AEW with world champion CM Punk on the shelf with a broken foot. Bryan Danielson is also expected to be out of action for one to two weeks.
