Report: Tony Deppen Backstage At AEW Dynamite

Another former Ring of Honor star has reportedly been spotted backstage at an AEW show, with former ROH TV Champion Tony Deppen allegedly in attendance for AEW: Dynamite in Baltimore on May 4th.

The report comes via Fightful Select, who claim Deppen was spotted backstage at the show. This might just be a case of Deppen visiting friends and former colleagues, and we’ll have to wait and see if Deppen ends up working matches for AEW or ROH in the future.

Deppen is one of the stand-out names on the independent scene thanks to a strong run with GCW, with his short run in ROH commencing in 2020. Since ROH’s hiatus and rebirth, Deppen has been a fixture for GCW, and has also wrestled for the likes of CHIKARA, PWG, CZW, ROH, and others during his career.

Several ROH alums worked the AEW tapings, with AEW/ROH roster member Jay Lethal taking on Konosuke Takeshita on Rampage, whilst ROH favourite Cheeseburger wrestled on Dark Elevation, also taped on May 4.
