In recent weeks, Mike Tyson has admitted he is thinking about returning to the boxing ring at 53-years-old. The former World Heavyweight Champion hasn't had a professional fight since 2006 but Iron Mike has hinted he is willing to fight again in some charity bouts, possibly against his old rival Evander Holyfield.

Tyson's comments caught the eye of Major League Wrestling's Court Bauer who tweeted that he would love to see Tyson step inside the squared circle in MLW.

Bauer wrote: "My all time favorite @MikeTyson is considering an exhibition fight? I'm 100% down to see this BUT what I really would like to see is Tyson finally get in the wrestling ring. @MLW would love to promote that match and in the process help some charities. How about it, Iron Mike?"

Many assumed this was just MLW trying to get some harmless self-promotion, but Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported that Tyson has had "at least one conversation" with MLW about doing business together down the line. Johnson noted that nothing was close to being announced but that there is "absolutely smoke to the fire here."

Iron Mike already has a history in professional wrestling. He was Shawn Michaels' special enforcer at WrestleMania 15 but betrayed The Heartbreak Kid as he counted "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's winning pinfall. Tyson then returned to WWE in 2010 for an episode of Raw and even stepped inside the ring as he teamed with Chris Jericho against D-Generation X. He didn't do any moves, but did knock out Jericho and became an honorary member of DX.
