A top NJPW star will be at AEW All In
May 11, 2023
A major star from New Japan Pro-Wrestling will be in action at All Elite Wrestling's All In event from Wembley Stadium, if current plans are any indication.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Will Ospreay will be wrestling at All In and he was booked to be on the card as of a couple of days ago. It is unknown who Ospreay will be facing at the show, however.
"Will Ospreay, as of a couple of days ago, was booked on the show. I do not know his opponent. I do not know the match, but he was booked on the show," Meltzer said.
Ospreay noted back in April that he hoped to be in action at All In. He told Dark Puroresu Flowsion: "Im a guy that pops in. All the love in the world to all those & its amazing crew. I hope there is an opportunity as 1 of the guys that flys the flag for everywhere I go. To do that would finally make my dad proud."
Speculation has tipped Ospreay to potentially continue his programme with Kenny Omega at All In, and the match would likely be a popular addition to the card following their match-of-the-year contender at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January.
If other NJPW talents are scheduled for All In is unknown. Many have speculated the long-anticipated dream match between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. could finally take place at the Wembley show if it doesn't happen at Forbidden Door.
All In is scheduled for Sunday, August 27 at Wembley Stadium in London, England. How the event will be broadcast has yet to be revealed.
