One NXT Superstar conspicuous by their absence is Kona Reeves, with The Finest having been absent from our screens since early 2020. Reeves has been out rehabbing an injury following surgery, and according to a report from Fightful Select, is fit and raring to go at WWE’s Performance Center.

The report states that Reeves has been ready for some time and has been actively pitching ideas for his return, such as a significant character change.

Reeves was previously given a push in 2018, but slipped back down the card with only one win in his last ten matches across NXT, NXT UK, and NXT live shows. Reeves’ last match in February 2020 was a loss to Keith Lee on NXT TV.

It has been said at the Performance Center that Reeves specifically was someone that guest coaches have enjoyed working with, with The Finest singled out for praise on numerous occasions. Hopefully this stands Reeves in good stead when NXT’s writers and producers finalise a plan for him to return to television.
