At The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, Asuka defended the Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks. The two Superstars battled back and forth for 20 minutes, but the match descended into chaos after Bayley counted the 1-2-3 for her best friend and The Standard left the Performance Center with the title.

Fightful Select revealed yesterday that WWE's Executive Vice President of Television Production Kevin Dunn was upset during the match because of a few "production snafus." Fightful noted there were no major incidents but Dunn was unhappy that the cameras kept being directed at Bayley when they were supposed to be focussing on the in-ring action. Dunn reportedly didn't consider this to be a big problem, but it was enough for him to shout at people backstage for "not protecting the talents."

In regards to the Raw Women's Championship itself, Stephanie McMahon confirmed on Monday that The Empress Of Tomorrow is still the champion despite Banks holding the belt, and the two women will face off again on next week's edition of the red brand.
