An IMPACT Wrestling talent is in line for a push following Saturday's Rebellion pay-per-view.

Fightful Select have reported that IMPACT had a 'significant push' planned for Steve Maclin for the summer. Those Fightful spoke to have also been 'very happy' with Maclin's performance during his time with the promotion so far.

The former WWE talent joined IMPACT in June 2021, with it being announced that he had signed a contract with the promotion. Maclin then quickly entered the X Division and he unsuccessfully challenged for the gold at Bound For Glory, Turning Point, and Hard To Kill.

His Hard To Kill loss to champion Trey Miguel was also Maclin's first defeat in singles action since he signed with IMPACT, going 9-0 in one-on-one matches before the January 2022 pay-per-view.

Following Hard To Kill, Maclin unsuccessfully pursued the ROH World Championship before he briefly joined Team IMPACT's war against Honor No More which led to him attacking Rhino.

Maclin was most recently in action at Rebellion, where he defeated Jay White and Chris Sabin in a Three-Way. The 34-year-old then took on Tomohiro Ishii at Sunday's IMPACT TV taping.
