Colt Cabana has reportedly returned to All Elite Wrestling, with the former Dark Order member having been absent from the company for seven months.

Per a report from Fightful Select, ‘Boom Boom’ was backstage for the July 5 Dynamite in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, once again working in a producer/coach role. Cabana’s status across AEW and Ring of Honor has been the subject of much speculation, with rumours suggesting that Cabana’s strained relationship with CM Punk led to AEW initially deciding not to renew Colt’s contract in 2022, a move that reportedly upset members of the AEW locker room before the decision was seemingly reversed and Cabana signed a new deal. CM Punk and Tony Khan have publicly stated that Punk was never involved in the decision but there are still doubts within the AEW locker room.

On-screen, Cabana has worked for ROH since the brand’s relaunch by Tony Khan, and last appeared on AEW TV in November 2022 as a challenger to then-ROH World Champion Chris Jericho on an episode of Dynamite. With ROH tapings now following the CM Punk-led Collision events on Saturdays, it is to be assumed that Cabana will be sticking to Dynamite/Rampage tapings on Wednesdays moving forward.
