In the wake of AEW Rampage The First Dance from Chicago’s United Center, and the upcoming AEW Dynamite Grand Slam from New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium, AEW is gathering some real momentum.

Now, a report from Bodyslam.net has underlined AEW’s confidence about running these larger venues, with an AEW source telling Bodyslam that “If you have legit headliner talent it equals the confidence to run in larger venues.”

This comes in the wake of the signing of CM Punk, the expected signing of Bryan Danielson, and the rumoured signings of Bray Wyatt and Adam Cole in the coming months, giving AEW a seriously stacked roster.

It has also been reported by Mat Men Podcast’s Andrew Zarian that AEW are scheduled to run Long Island’s UBS Arena in December, in doing so being one of the first events to run at the new arena. With a projected capacity of over 17,000 for ice hockey games, and just short of 19,000 for concerts, the arena certainly fits this supposed ‘new’ drive for AEW’s live events schedule.
