Since losing to eventual tournament winner Jade Cargill in the AEW TBS Title tournament quarter-finals, Red Velvet has been on quite a roll in AEW and has picked up many victories on Dark and Dark: Elevation.

As well as getting help from Dustin and Cody Rhodes, Red Velvet revealed in a recent interview (with Jim Varsallone of The Miami Herald) that she has also received training from Bryan Danielson.

"Thankfully, training-wise, the women are trained by Dustin [Rhodes]. So we train every week on the road with Dustin. I've also had some outside help as well from Cody [Rhodes], I'm getting a lot of help now from Bryan, Daniel Bryan, Bryan Danielson. But I think a lot of people have collectively helped us out a lot, especially the women, especially me. I'm very grateful for everyone who has put their hand into my career at AEW and helped me get to where I am today and even my trainer included. No matter what, even though I'm on the road, I still always follow back with my trainer, still follow back with J.B. [Cool — Velvet’s trainer], still follow back with La Rosa [Negra]. I had the chance of wrestling La Rosa on AEW and Mission Pro so, life goes full circle and I’m very blessed about that".

The diminutive Floridian has noticeably improved over the past several months and will likely only get better under the tutelage of The American Dragon.

Outside of her TBS Title tournament match with Cargill, Red Velvet's biggest matches to date have been her AEW Women's Title match with Britt Baker, which headlined the debut episode of Rampage, and the mixed-tag match that saw her team with Cody Rhodes against Cargill and Shaq.
