AEW held their latest round of Dark tapings on July 16, and images coming out of the show may have accidentally spoiled the upcoming ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV on July 23.

Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham is due to defend his title at Death Before Dishonor against Claudio Castagnoli, but Gresham was in action at the Dark tapings against Jordan Oasis and did not come to the ring with his title belt.

It is worth noting that whilst this may suggest a loss is on the cards for Gresham at the PPV it may also not mean anything, as current ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez was at Dark without her title belt, as was her opponent at Death Before Dishonor Serena Deeb.

With Dark set to air after Death Before Dishonor, it could just be a case of Tony Khan not wanting to give away any results for the PPV before they happen, as plans can always change. Conversely, WCW used to do mass tapings of Worldwide in the 90s, with wrestlers appearing wearing title belts they were yet to win, so rather than create a logistical headache for producers and fans alike, AEW not featuring championships at tapings could just be easier for everyone involved.
