New Japan Pro-Wrestling's annual tag team tournament, World Tag League 2021, got underway on Sunday, November 14 from Tokyo's Korakuen Hall.
NJPW opened the tournament with an enticing matchup as Suzuki-gun's Minoru Suzuki and TAKA Michinoku faced their faction-mates Zack Sabre Jr. and Taichi, with the current IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions coming away with the win after 18 minutes. Tetsuya Naito also returned to winning ways in his return match as he and SANADA defeated CHAOS' YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto.
