After a one-year hiatus, New Year Dash will return on January 5, 2023, in its traditional spot of the night after Wrestle Kingdom.

The show traditionally features a mystery card that is revealed to the fans in the arena and at home at the beginning of the event. That won't be the case in 2023, though, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that the card won't be revealed at all. Instead, fans will have the matches revealed when the wrestlers make their entrances.

New Japan did something similar earlier this year for their Night Before Rumble on 44th Street show in New York City.

Before New Year Dash, NJPW will hold Wrestle Kingdom 17 at the Tokyo Dome on January 4. The remainder of the card was revealed today and in a major announcement, Keiji Muto will have his final NJPW match in the Tokyo Dome when he teams with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shota Umino against Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, and BUSHI.

The event will be co-main evented by Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega, and Jay White vs. Kazuchika Okada.
