NJPW Forges Working Relationship With MLW

New Japan Pro-Wrestling have formed a new working relationship with another promotion.

It was revealed during the latest episode of MLW Fusion that Major League Wrestling has formed a partnership with NJPW that will begin at the MLW Fury Road pay-per-view on September 3. The partnership will kick off with NJPW's KUSHIDA vs. Tony Deppen.

"New Japan is a true dynasty in Japanese combat sports and this crossover will give fans true dream matches," MLW CEO Court Bauer said.

Other matches already announced for Fury Road include Alex Kane vs. Willie Mack for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, Matt Cardona vs. Mance Warner in a Kiss My Foot Match, Maki Itoh vs. B3CCA, and Jacob Fatu vs. Rickey Shane Page in a Weapons of Mass Destruction Match for the National Openweight Title.

New Japan already has a number of working relationships with the likes of All Elite Wrestling, IMPACT Wrestling, and CMLL. Plans for the NJPW and MLW partnership beyond Fury Road have not been revealed.
