Following the final round of block matches over the weekend, the finals of the Best Of Super Juniors 28 and World Tag League 2021 tournaments have been set.

The 11th round of BOSJ 28 matches took place at Hyogo on Saturday, December 11 and several wrestlers could have advanced to the finals if they picked up wins.

It was ultimately Hiromu Takahashi and YOH who finished in the top two spots, though, and they will face off for the Best Of Super Juniors trophy on Wednesday, December 15 at Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

YOH's tournament had initially got off to a bad start, losing his first four matches. He hadn't lost since then, however, and he defeated his former Roppongi 3K teammate SHO on Saturday to move to 14 points. YOH's ticket to the final was then punched after El Phantasmo pinned El Desperado following a Loaded Sudden Death, meaning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion finished on 13 points.

Robbie Eagles and Hiromu Takahashi then faced off for the other final spot in the main event and The Time Bomb managed to defeat the man he lost to in the MetLife Dome back in September to move to 15 points and advance to the final.

Hiromu and YOH then had a brief promo exchange following the main event to set up Wednesday's encounter.

The final round of World Tag League 2021 matches then took place in Hiroshima on Sunday, December 12.

Five teams could have advanced to the final if results had gone their way and after another seven matches, it was House Of Torture's EVIL and Yujiro Takahashi and Chaos' YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto who topped the block, with the final set to take place on December 15.

EVIL and Yujiro defeated their former tag team partners in SANADA and Tetsuya Naito to give themselves a good chance of moving on to the final, but they had to hope the main event match between YOSHI-HASHI and Goto vs. Dangerous Tekkers didn't end in a time-limit draw.

Fortunately for The House Of Torture tag team, YOSHI-HASHI and Goto defeated the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions to earn a spot in the final.

The United Empire's Great-O-Khan and Aaron Henare also could have spoiled EVIL and Takahashi's night with a win before their match with Naito and SANADA as they held the tiebreaker over The House Of Torture. O-Khan and Henare were ultimately defeated by Guerrillas Of Destiny, though, eliminating them from the tournament.
