All Elite Wrestling’s ongoing negotiations over a new TV deal are seemingly nearing their end, with a new offer on the table reported to be ‘at least double’ what the promotion currently earns with their current deal with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Renewal talks between AEW and WBD have been ongoing for the entirety of 2024, with AEW President Tony Khan believed to have met with WBD CEO David Zaslav at the recent Olympic Summer Games in Paris. A report from Fightful Select suggests this meeting went well, with a renewed offer sent to AEW shortly afterwards.

WBD’s latest offer has been described as ‘literally extensive’, with an earlier version of a proposed deal said to have been at least double what AEW currently receives from the multimedia conglomerate. Whilst the financial numbers are not publicly available for AEW’s current deal, a report from Wrestlenomics in 2023 suggested a fee of around $70 million per year is likely what WBD currently pays AEW.

The current offer is said to now be ‘in AEW’s hands’, and whilst the premise of the promotion earning ‘at least double’ their current deal, it is unclear if this monetary increase would be for the same amount of content or if there are plans to expand AEW’s output.

As for how WBD plan to roll out current and additional AEW content is still the subject of speculation, with it expected that AEW and Ring of Honor content - including pay-per-view specials - will make their way to WBD’s Max streaming service en masse, with the cancellation of Dark and Dark Elevation on YouTube suggested to have been done in order to give WBD exclusivity over AEW content.

AEW’s current deal with WBD runs through the end of 2024.
