AEW and DDT Pro have announced an official working agreement is in place between the two companies, with AEW set to bring DDT wrestlers over to America for future AEW shows.

The announcement was made by AEW VP of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels, with the ‘Fallen Angel’ saying the following via a video message at the recent DDT 25th Anniversary Judgement show:

“I’d like to say congratulations to DDT for their 25th anniversary, and I’d like to also announce that AEW and DDT have come to an agreement to bring DDT’s wrestlers to the United States of America, and I for one am looking forward to introducing the top talent from DDT to the American wrestling fan base.”

The news will come as little shock to many, seeing as AEW EVP Kenny Omega got his major wrestling break in the company, forming the Golden Lovers with Kota Ibushi.

Fans have already speculating as to who from DDT could come to AEW, from Andre-Za the Giant Panda, and Jim Cornette’s favourite wrestler Yoshihiko, to an AEW return for Konosuke Takeshita.

There is one dream match stands head and shoulders above the rest though, as this partnership may give Eddie Kingston to fulfil his dream of wrestling the legendary Jun Akiyama, with Kingston doubling down on his dream on Twitter as news of the partnership broke.
