The latest episode of the Talk is Jericho Podcast saw Chris Jericho joined by Inner Circle teammate MJF.

The episode - recorded before their AEW Tag Title match against the Young Bucks at AEW: Revolution - touched upon many topics such as The Young Bucks themselves, The Inner Circle, and other AEW talent such as Sting and recent Inner Circle outcast Sammy Guevara.

Talk turned to MJF himself, with Friedman pinpointing the moment he got ‘noticed’ by AEW:

“I’ll just say it, I wasn’t well known coming into this company,” MJF admitted. “There are a lot of other guys in this promotion who were well known that came from the indies that had never been on a nationally televised show, and I’ll never forget. Tony Khan, I think he kinda knew what he had with MJF, but he didn’t fully, and when he gave me that microphone and Bret Hart was talking in the middle of the ring and I went out there [at AEW: Double or Nothing 2019]. And the world got to get a taste of what I do best.

“I think that was when everybody collectively went, ‘Who is this guy? My God,’ and ever since then, it’s been a wild, incredible ride."

MJF continued: "I think I can easily say, probably no one in the history of the business, outside of maybe one or two guys, probably just one guy, probably just Kurt Angle, has achieved as much as I have in such a short period of time, has been a top guy as quick as I have in such a short period of time. But again, I do attribute that to you honestly because you have been a mentor, you’ve been a friend and I think that’s why me and you are going to hold those AEW World Tag Titles for a very very long time.”

MJF has been positioned as one of the top heels of AEW since the promotion opened its doors, and at only 24 years old MJF has the potential to easily become one of the biggest stars in the industry.
