MJF may have left Double or Nothing as AEW World Champion but he didn't walk away from T-Mobile Arena unscathed.

Friedman defended the AEW World Championship against his fellow Four Pillars in Darby Allin, "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry, and Sammy Guevara in a Four-Way in one of the headline matches at Double or Nothing. MJF would ultimately retain the gold after an excellent match, pinning Darby Allin following a Headlock Takeover to only further their issues that have been building over the past couple of years.

MJF sustained an injury during the contest after Darby landed on Friedman's arm during a top rope powerbomb spot. Friedman then appeared at the post-show media scrum and his left arm was heavily taped up. MJF even made reference to the injury, saying that people didn't care about his "forearm being f****d" during one of his customary rants about the fans.

The severity of Friedman's injury is unknown. The 27-year-old has been AEW World Champion since November 2022. Double or Nothing was only the third time he has defended the title.
