It seems that none are ‘at the level of the Devil’, as MJF has officially become the longest reigning World Champion in All Elite Wrestling history.

MJF went into this past fortnight with the record in his sights, but had to overcome the previous record-holder Kenny Omega, with the two having a spectacular first time ever singles clash on the October 28 edition of Collision.

MJF got the win over Kenny with a Panama Sunrise and a Heatseeker, and as of November 1 overtook Omega to sit atop the pile of AEW World Champions. Omega’s only reign with the title lasted 346 days, defeating Jon Moxley for the strap at Winter is Coming 2020 before eventually dropping it to Hangman Adam Page at AEW Full Gear 2021, the culmination of AEW’s hottest year on record.

On 347 days, MJF has the longest unbroken reign with the title, but curiously is tied for most cumulative days as champ with Jon Moxley, with Mox having held the belt for 347 days across three separate reigns. It looks likely that MJF will shatter the record, with his next advertised defence of the gold coming against Jay White at AEW Full Gear on November 18.
