Matt Hardy Challenges Chris Jericho To The Elite Deletion On AEW: Dynamite
WONDERFUL...
Apr 9, 2020
Since debuting in AEW on the March 18 episode of Dynamite, Matt Hardy has been embroiled in a rivalry with Chris Jericho after The Broken One joined The Elite. Jericho invited Hardy to join The Inner Circle, but Matt refused. After being spurned by Damascus, Le Champion tried to recruit his most loyal soldier, Vanguard 1. The drone proved itself to be a devoted servant to the vessel of Matthew Hardy, however, as it too refused to side with The Painmaker and flew to safety after Jericho released the hounds.
Matt revealed the next stage in their feud on last night's episode of Dynamite. He cut a promo at the Hardy Compound in which he insulted members of The Inner Circle, calling Sammy Guevara a false god, Jake Hager Jakenstein, and Proud And Powerful loud and devourable. He saved his most intense affront for the former AEW World Champion, however, as he called Le Champion The Whole Of The Ass.
Hardy then challenged Jericho to The Elite Deletion at the Hardy Compound.
While no date was announced for the battle, this will be the fourth cinematic match in as many weeks. The Undertaker and AJ Styles went one on one in a Boneyard match, "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt tormented John Cena inside the Firefly Funhouse, and Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa settled their long rivalry on last night's episode of NXT.
