AEW make their long awaited Canadian debut on October 12, when Dynamite takes place from Toronto, Ontario.

As announced on the October 5 edition of Dynamite, Ring of Honor World Champion Chris Jericho will put the belt on the line against former champion Bryan Danielson in Toronto, with the two currently 1-1 in AEW singles matches.

This will be Danielson’s first shot at the title since August 2009, when ‘The American Dragon’ failed to defeat Austin Aries for the belt during Danielson’s farewell tour prior to signing with WWE. Danielson previously held the title for 462 days from September 2005 to December 2006, unifying the belt with the ROH Pure Title during his reign.

Also announced for AEW Dynamite on October 12 is a singles bout between Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, whilst Swerve Strickland and Billy Gunn will also face off in singles competition.

Announced so far for AEW Dynamite on September 12:

  • Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bryan Danielson - ROH World Championship
  • Jungle Boy vs. Luchasaurus
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Billy Gunn
