The Tony Khan era of Ring of Honor has been a decidedly inconsistent affair, with ROH TV seen by many fans as an unimportant afterthought when compared to All Elite Wrestling TV - sentiments echoed by former ROH owner Cary Silkin.

However, there is potentially some good news for ROH fans, as a report from Fightful Select suggests that there will be ‘more care given’ to the brand moving forward, with the upcoming residency in Arlington, Texas being spoken of as a potential turning point for the historic indie brand.

In recent months, episodes of ROH TV have been taped around AEW Dynamite and Collision episodes, but the Arlington stay will allow the brand to hold some dedicated taping sessions, allowing for ROH creative to be more carefully crafted, with numerous shows taped across a day rather than the current taping situation.

Alongside this, it’s been said that one change for Ring of Honor is that ROH champions will be featured more consistently across the brand. Outside of ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and ROH Women’s World TV Champion Billie Starkz, appearances from Ring of Honor’s men’s division champions have been less consistent. ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe is currently part of the major AEW vs. The Elite story heading into Blood & Guts, whilst ROH World Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Kingdom split their time between AEW and ROH, and new TV Champion Atlantis Jr. is a mainstay of Mexico’s CMLL.
