Lance Archer Wins IWGP United States Title From Jon Moxley At AEW Fyter Fest
Following a brutal Texas Death match

Lance Archer is once again the IWGP United States champion, after defeating Jon Moxley in a bloody Texas Death match at AEW Fyter Fest: Night 2 on Wednesday night in Dallas.
The conclusion of the match saw Moxley set up barbed wire-adorned boards across two tables. He went to send Archer from the apron through the tables, only for Archer to repeatedly jab him in the scalp with a fork (which Moxley had introduced earlier in the match). Archer then chokeslammed Moxley through the barbed wire and tables, to which Moxley was unable to answer a ten count.
For the match, Archer was given the "hometown star" treatment (Hearne, TX is two hours south of Dallas), and actually made his ring entrance second.
After the match, as Archer celebrated, he was confronted by Bullet Club member Hikuleo, who watched the event from the front row. It was announced that Hikuleo would face the Moxley/Archer winner on next week's Dynamite in Charlotte.
For Archer, it's his second reign as IWGP US champion. He previously held the title from October 14, 2019 to January 4, 2020, where he lost the title to Moxley at the Tokyo Dome, in another Texas Death match.
Moxley's reign ends at 564 days. He made five successful defenses of the title within that time frame.
