AEW are building up to the next week’s Beach Break special from Cleveland, announcing several big matches on last night’s edition of AEW: Dynamite.

In homage to WrestleMania X, TNT Champion Cody Rhodes and Interim TNT Champion Sammy Guevara will clash in a winner-takes-all ladder match, with the winner being crowned the undisputed TNT Champion. Rhodes threw down the gauntlet to Guevara on Dynamite, with Cody returning to AEW for the first time in weeks.

Guevara picked up the interim title at the recent Battle of the Belts event, defeating Dustin Rhodes for the privilege. Guevara was initially supposed to face Cody in a rematch for the original TNT Championship, before Rhodes withdrew from the event for health reasons.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, The Inner Circle’s Chris Jericho and Proud and Powerful team up to take on Daniel Garcia and 2point0, in front of a backdrop of increases tension between Jericho, Santana, Ortiz, and Eddie Kingston.

A newly heel Leyla Hirsch will take on Red Velvet after jumping Velvet and Kris Statlander on Dynamite. ‘Legit’ has been growing frustrated on AEW TV as of late, with her team with Statlander dissolving as a result.

These three will join the already announced Unsanctioned Lights Out match between Adam Cole and Orange Cassidy.

Announced thus far for AEW: Dynamite Beach Break 2022:

  • Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara - TNT Title Unification Ladder Match
  • Adam Cole vs. Orange Cassidy - Unsanctioned Lights Out Match
  • Leyla Hirsch vs. Red Velvet
  • Chris Jericho, Santana & Ortiz vs. Daniel Garcia & 2point0
