Japanese professional wrestling legend Keiji Muto's final match is set.
Appropriately, it will take place in the Tokyo Dome, an arena he has headlined numerous times during his long and illustrious career.
Pro Wrestling NOAH will run the Dome for the first time since 2005 in what is being billed as the 'final stop' on Muto's retirement tour. The show - referred to as 'Pro-Wrestling Last Love - Hold Out' - will take place on February 21, 2023.
The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion announced his intention to retire earlier this year. A retirement tour was subsequently announced, with Muto scheduled to wrestle a handful of matches at major arenas.
The next stop on Muto's retirement tour is a tag bout on September 25 in Nagoya's Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium. He will tag with Kazuyuki Fujita to take on Katsuhiko Nakajima and GHC National Champion Masakatsu Funaki.
As well as his work in Japan, Muto is fondly remembered by fans for his appearances in World Championship Wrestling, where he wrestled as his Great Muta alter-ego.
