After a well publicised farewell tour, Keiji Muto finally brought the lights down on his 39 year career with the Keiji Muto Grand Final Pro-Wrestling 'Last' Love ~Hold Out~ show in the Tokyo Dome on February 21.
A card featuring Pro Wrestling NOAH alongside the best of Japan’s top promotions, ‘Last’ Love ~Hold Out~ didn’t disappoint, featuring an astonishing last bout for Muto, whilst Kazuchika Okada and Kaito Kiyomiya destroyed one another in a highly anticipated singles bout.
Elsewhere on the card, NOAH’s NOSAWA Rongai also retired, with NOSAWA and MAZADA losing to Bullet Club’s Gedo & Taiji Ishimori in a brief tag team match. In a battle of the Jr. Heavyweight, IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi got the win over GHC Jr. heavyweight Champion AMAKUSA.
But the real story was the main event, and after Muto lost to Tetsuya Naito, he called out his career rival Masahiro Chono for one last dance, with Chono defeating his former NWO Japan stablemate with an STF.
