Juice Robinson won't be leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling anytime soon.

The former IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion announced in mid-April that he was done with NJPW but that proved to be a ruse as Robinson attacked Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestling Dontaku on May 1 and joined Bullet Club.

Robinson has since confirmed to Sports Illustrated that he has signed a new deal with New Japan and SI noted he will be with the promotion until at least 2023. Robinson's new deal was also agreed upon on the condition that he turned heel.

"If I was going to stay with New Japan, I needed to do it my way. That's what you're going to see. That's what you're going to hear. I now have the license to do this the way I want," he said.

"I'm keeping the details private, but I'm here where I am supposed to be. I don't want to work somewhere else. I was about to, and I was ready to, but I didn't want to. New Japan is where I belong."

Robinson will challenge for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at Saturday's Capital Collision event. He will compete in a Four-Way that includes champion Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jon Moxley, and Will Ospreay.
