Sep 8, 2023
Jon Moxley is set to make his AEW Collision debut on Saturday, September 9 when the show emanates from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
Moxley is scheduled to defend the AEW International Championship on the show against Action Andretti, with AEW noting that Andretti will be looking to score his second major upset after he defeated Chris Jericho in December 2022.
Moxley has been the International Champion since he defeated Orange Cassidy for the gold at All Out on September 3. The three-time AEW World Champion defended the title for the first time on Wednesday's Dynamite, defeating AR Fox.
Moxley's appearance on Collision is a further sign the soft brand split is finished following CM Punk's firing with cause. The brand split had been in place to separate Punk and talents who didn't want to work with the Second City Saint. Punk, meanwhile, also banned the likes of Matt Hardy, Ryan Nemeth, Isiah Kassidy, and Christopher Daniels from Collision tapings.
Already announced for AEW Collision is the semi-finals of the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament. Darby Allin vs. Roderick Strong is already official for the show while the winners of Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy and Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Jay Lethal on Rampage will square off on Collision.
