Joey Janela Bans CM Punk From GCW Until He Watches The Rocky Movies

CM Punk may have shown up backstage at WWE Raw and IMPACT's Spring Slugfest last week, but he won't be allowed behind-the-scenes at GCW - until he watches the Rocky movies.
Punk had made it known that he hadn't seen any of the Rocky films in a (now deleted) Instagram stories post referencing his issues when working with Jon Moxley in AEW during the summer of 2022.
GCW's Janela has since taken to social media several times to point out Punk's cinematic blind spot.
In an interview with Haus of Wrestling, The Bad Boy addressed whether the Straight-Edge Superstar had gotten back to him and reiterated that the GCW ban was still in place, saying:
"No, he hasn't gotten back to me. I sent him a message on Instagram. I don't know if he's seen it, but, I,100% at the upcoming shows, especially the Chicago dates, I will have security enforcement there, man. I'm gonna have, especially, I have posters getting made right now to put up in the locker room.
"You know, 'If you see this, if you see this face, if you see this guy with the, with the Pepsi tattoo on his arm, Don't let him in the door. And if he gets in, get him the f-ck out'. I don't play bullsh-t. You gotta be some kind of, you gotta, you gotta be some kind of, uh, special person not to see the f-cking Rocky movies".
Janela outlined his own plan to help Punk catch up with Sylvester Stallone's boxing franchise, adding:
"You know, he's a multimillionaire, former, many-time world champion and he can't spend two days and watch every Rocky movie? I will let him in GCW. He needs to have proof. I have a friend who owns a movie theater in Chicago. I will work out a deal where he has to watch every Rocky movie, including the Creed movies, and including the sixth Rocky movie that no one remembers".
