IMPACT Wrestling officially announced yesterday that Slammiversary 2021 will take place on July 17. The company initially announced the pay-per-view would be taking place sometime in July, but now a final date has been confirmed.

The pay-per-view will take place only a few days after 10 released WWE Superstars' 90-day non-compete clauses expire. IMPACT teased the arrival of a few of those talents in Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay during the pay-per-view announcement video, but if any of them will show up at Slammiversary remains to be seen.

Also teased for the pay-per-view was Andrade, New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito, and GHC Heavyweight Champion Keiji Mutoh.

IMPACT used a similar tactic to drum up interest for last year's Slammiversary and the promotion ultimately delivered with the arrival of The Good Brothers, Heath and EC3.

Before we get to Slammiversary, though, IMPACT will return to pay-per-view on June 12 for Against All Odds.
