Suzuki vs. Kaleb with a K. Good luck with that Kaleb
Nov 12, 2021
The IMPACT World Title scene is heating up more than anticipated in the wake of tonight’s main event, as Eddie Edwards overcame W. Morrissey and Matt Cardona to become the number one contender to Moose’s crown. All three gave it their all, with Morrissey dominating portions of the bout. Eventually, Morrissey was taken out by the Boston Knee Party, allowing Edwards to get the pin on Cardona.
We also have new number one contenders in the IMPACT World Tag Team Title scene, as Bullet Club’s El-P and Chris Bey defeated FinJuice for a shot at The Good Brothers. Hikuleo was set to take part but subbed out for El-P, and later got the last laugh by dropping Karl Anderson before squaring up to Doc Gallows. Given the history between Bullet Club and The GBs, this story looks like it’s set to take a few more twists and turns.
‘The King’ Minoru Suzuki squashed Kaleb with a K, naturally, after it was revealed by Scott D’Amore that Suzuki will wrestle again next week, against Josh Alexander. Get your popcorn ready for that one.
Knockouts Championship number one contender Mercedes Martinez was playing no games this week as she took on former champion Madison Rayne, however, it was Rayne who was the aggressor after feeling disrespected by Martinez last week. Rayne wore down Martinez throughout the bout, but it was not enough, as Martinez fought back, getting the win with a roll-up.
Rayne then proceeded to attack Martinez post-match, until Knockouts Champion Mickie James made the save. However, Martinez needed to save face, and dropped James with an Air Raid Crash as the title scene takes another turn.
Elsewhere: Decay defeated The Undead Bridesmaids in-front of a disgusted Iinspiration. Rocky Romero’s week went from bad to worse as he lost to Rohit Raju. And Bryan Myers will face former pupil Sam Beale next week.
