Professional wrestling will come together for a major tournament in March, with it being announced today that New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Hiromu Takahashi will produce the first-ever All Star Junior Festival. The show will feature junior heavyweights from around the world and will emanate from Korakuen Hall on Wednesday, March 1. The event will be available to watch on NJPW World pay-per-view.

Alongside New Japan, the likes of All Japan Pro-Wrestling, Big Japan, CMLL, DDT, Dragon Gate, GLEAT, Michinoku Pro, Osaka Pro, Pro Wrestling NOAH, ZERO1, Pancrase Mission, Dradition, Just Tap Out, and 666 Pro-Wrestling will be represented on the show. What matches fans can expect on the show has yet to be revealed.

Tickets for the All Star Junior Festival go on sale on January 21.

The world's best junior heavyweights have come together for shows in the past, with the Super J-Cup being held sporadically in the 1990s and 2000s by multiple promotions before NJPW revived the tournament for their talents in 2019 and 2020. The concept was originally established by Jushin Thunder Liger and the 1994 Super J-Cup is regarded as one of the best pro wrestling shows of all time.
