New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Great-O-Khan was given a letter of appreciation by Nakahara police on Monday after saving a 10-year-old girl from assault on March 29.

Nakahara police noted an incident took place at the JR Musashi Kosugi Station in Kawasaki City where an inebriated 61-year-old man grabbed a 10-year-old girl and was about to take her away when he was stopped by Great-O-Khan.

O-Khan noticed the incident and after the girl asked for help, he managed to subdue the man and then save the girl's mother from a critical situation in the station restroom.

The NJPW talent then calmed the girl by offering her pancakes.

Speaking about the incident, O-Khan told Tokyo Sports (translated using DeepL): "Normally, I am not a person who should be named and it is not something I should accept, but I decided to accept it in the hope that by accepting it, I will spread awareness of crime prevention. In a way, it will be more valuable than a championship belt."

O-Khan has been a regular in NJPW since he returned from excursion in 2020 and formed The United Empire with Will Ospreay. He and fellow United Empire faction-mate Jeff Cobb will challenge YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles at Hyper Battle on April 9.
