Full NJPW Sakura Genesis 2024 Card Revealed

New Japan Pro-Wrestling's next major show is only a couple of weeks away and the promotion will present Sakura Genesis from the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on Saturday, April 6.

NJPW have finalised the card today and the main event will see Tetsuya Naito defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Los Ingobernables de Japon faction mate Yota Tsuji. The match was put together after Tsuji defeated Hirooki Goto in the final of the New Japan Cup.

In the semi-main event, Shingo Takagi will challenge EVIL for the NEVER Openweight Title. EVIL eliminated Takagi from the New Japan Cup but Shingo ended up exacting a measure of revenge as he halted repeated House of Torture interference in EVIL's semi-final match against Yota Tsuji. Shingo then took down EVIL with a Pumping Bomber which allowed Tsuji to pick up the win following a Geneblaster Spear.

The issues between Shota Umino and Jack Perry will also continue before their singles matches at Windy City Riot. Sakura Genesis will see Jon Moxley return to New Japan to team with Umino against the former Jungle Boy and Ren Narita.

Elsewhere, the IWGP Tag Team Titles will be on the line as KENTA and Chase Owens defend the belts against Bishamon, while SHO will defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title against former tag team partner YOH, although YOH is currently in possession of the title belt. Bullet Club War Dogs will put the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles on the line in a Four-Way.
