Frankie Kazarian’s surprise win over ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey for the X Division Championship at Bound For Glory was still ringing in everyone’s ears when ‘The Future’ enacted Option C for a shot at Josh Alexander’s IMPACT World Championship, declaring the X Division Title vacant as a result.

With no current X Division Champion, IMPACT put together an eight-man tournament for the vacant strap, with the finals set for IMPACT Over Drive on IMPACT Plus on November 18.

As seen on the October 27 edition of IMPACT Wrestling, the first two names have advanced to the semi finals, with Black Taurus and Trey Miguel through to the next round, albeit on opposite sides of the bracket.

Black Taurus defeated Laredo Kid, and is set to face the winner of Yuya Uemura vs the returning PJ Black. Former Champion Trey Miguel overcame former AEW star Alan Angels for his place in the semis, and will take on the winner of Kenny King and recent champ Mike Bailey.
