The first match of the next NXT TakeOver spacial has been announced, with the Undisputed Era's Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly scheduled to face Oney Lorcan and recently signed (to a full-time deal) UK talent, Danny Burch. UE's Tag Team Championships will be on the line.

The champs have promised to "end the charade" of Lorcan and Burch's tandem, with the pair of hairless wonders pulling up all kinds of trees in recent times - this includes a six-man tag team victory over Messrs Cole, O'Reilly and Strong with the help of current WWE United Kingdom Champion, Pete Dunne. Burch's pinning of O'Reilly in the finish of that match was enough to get this championship match booked for the Allstate Arena show.

Fans outside of NXT's diehards might not know too much about the team of Lorcan and Burch. They came together last year in a similar vein to Cesaro and Sheamus on Raw a couple of years ago. After a number of singles matches where the beat the living daylights out of each other, they decided to join forces out of a mutual respect for one another. With this championship match in the offing, it's been a case of so far, so good for the pair.

Undisputed Era have been NXT Tag Team Champions for going on 200 days now after winning the titles from SAnitY last November. Initially, of course, Bobby Fish was holding the tiles with O'Reilly, but after he suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee, he was replaced by Cole. Strong then replaced Cole as a tag team title holder after joining the faction at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.

NXT TakeOver: Chicago takes place on Saturday June 16 on the WWE Network at 8 ET/5 PT.
