Eddie Kingston Says Terry Funk Is The Greatest Of All Time, Not Bryan Danielson

People arguing about ‘greatest of all time’ status is common parlance amongst all sports and forms of entertainment, and for many wrestling fans Bryan Danielson is in the conversation for ‘GOAT’ status.

Eddie Kingston disagrees.

Kingston was on the What Happened When podcast with Tony Schiavone when Schiavone recalled a conversation on AEW commentary about Danielson’s skills in the ring:

"We were talking about Bryan Danielson one night, it was probably a couple of weeks ago, and I said, 'Bryan Danielson is probably the best professional wrestler I've ever seen.' My phone lights up. It's Eddie Kingston. 'It's Terry Funk. You f***,’” recalled Tony Schiavone.

Kingston followed up: "I'm sitting there after hernia surgery, watching Dynamite on one of the f****** Turner stations, and I hear the blasphemy coming out of Excalibur and Schiavone's mouth about Bryan Danielson being the GOAT. I said, 'Absolutely not, I can't let this go.' I got a group chat with the guys, so I got, 'Hey f***os, it's Terry Funk, the greatest of all time.'"

A former NWA and ECW World Champion, Funk is acknowledged by many as one of the very greatest to ever do it.
