Drake Maverick

After many weeks of fruitless pursuits, Drake Maverick has finally won the WWE 24/7 Championship. The 205 Live authority figure foiled Truth by disguising as the former champion's ally, Carmella, before ambushing him in the parking lot as he waited for an Uber.

Revealing that he wasn't actually Carmella (a fact Truth didn't quite pick up on - even as the segment came to an end - Maverick attacked the fleeing champion. He secured the pinfally with a roll-up, planting his feet on the nearby Uber for leverage, before speeding off in said vehicle (which actually belonged to the official who counted the fall).

Since achieving his apparent dream, Maverick has taken to social media to brag about his achievement. In the Instagram video below, he can be seen showing off his newly-won gold to fast food employees, airport workers, and more.

Maverick's victory makes him the sixth unique WWE 24/7 Champion, alongside inaugural champion Titus O'Neil, Robert Roode, Elias, R-Truth, and Jinder Mahal. Truth remains the most successful competitor in the title's short history, holding it for the longest amount of time (a combined 26 days) and enjoying the most reigns (five).
