Tweeting in the aftermath of FTR's latest IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title defence, Dax Harwood revealed that he believes it could possibly be the team's best match ever.

He and Cash Wheeler defended their titles on night one of New Japan's Royal Quest II show in London this past weekend. They defeated Aussie Open in what has been described by many attendees as a Match of the Year contender.

Speaking on his thoughts following the match against Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis, Harwood posted:

"About 45 mins until my plane lands. Reflecting on Saturday’s match has me emotional. That might have been our best one ever. I’m not sure what other tag matches we’ll have this year, but 2022 has been an incredible ride w/ great moments. Thank yall, coast-to-coast. Top Guys, out."

FTR have indeed taken part in several critically-acclaimed tag matches throughout 2022 - especially their rivalry with The Briscoes in the new Tony Khan-owned era of ROH.

In the aftermath of the Aussie Open match, Harwood also poked fun at FTR's perceived lack of a spotlight in AEW recently - reminding Khan that FTR are still employed by AEW and can still be booked for shows.
