NXT star Danny Burch is now a full-time member of the roster once again, having been released from his initial developmental contract in 2014.

He then competed in the second season of TNA British Bootcamp, before returning to NXT in 2015. He has teamed and feuded with Oney Lorcan, and wrestled matches against the likes of Kevin Owens, Andrade 'Cien' Almas, and Tye Dillinger.

Despite never officially signing a deal, Burch has been a reliable and semi-regular performer in NXT for a number of years now, and while the eventual contract offer is perhaps not the most surprising news, it's certainly nice to see his dedication rewarded.

Burch also took place in last year's UK Championship Tournament, the Network special held in Blackpool, England, eventually won by Tyler Bate.

Burch was eliminated in the first round, losing to Jordan Devlin.

He also wrestled in a dark match at the Cruiserweight Classic Finale show in 2016, although wasn't part of the official tournament. There he teamed with Sean Maluta, losing to The Bollywood Boyz (now known as the Singh Brothers).

Burch - real name Martin Harris - is a veteran of the UK and European independent scenes, winning titles in promotions such as wXw and RevPro. He has also competed for some of the biggest indies around the UK, including ICW and IPW: UK (where he is a 3-time champion).

It'll be interesting to see where Burch goes from here, and whether he'll be a part of the second UK Network tournament, taking place later this year.
