New AEW World Champion CM Punk spoke at Double or Nothing's post-show media scrum, and talked about the moments in his main event match with 'Hangman' Adam Page where he appeared to lose his footing during Buckshot Lariat attempts.

"That’s one of those f******* things. That’s the only time that I’ve missed it since I’ve tried it, and I did it on TV, and I just didn’t hit it for whatever reason, and it sucks. But that’s the fun thing about pro wrestling, I’m more comfortable when s*** goes f****** sideways, and not everything needs to look perfect in my opinion. I’ll probably beat myself up about it way too much but, you know, mistakes happen."

Punk also spoke about opponents he'd like to face in his title reign, specifically mentioning Bryan Danielson as well as younger stars such as Jungle Boy and Ricky Starks. He entertained the idea of dream New Japan opponents at Forbidden Door, including Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay.
