When Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan) was on the verge of leaving WWE, it was claimed that a big factor in him leaving was that he wanted to work matches in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Now, reports are suggesting that there is one name in NJPW he wants more than any other; Will Ospreay.

The idea of American Dragon vs. Aerial Assassin has been floated by Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men Podcast, who said:

"I know that Daniel Bryan really wanted to work with Will Ospreay. I know that, for Bryan, that's a big thing.”

Danielson is heavily rumoured to be joining AEW, with all roads suggesting he could debut at AEW’s Grand Slam show at Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 22.

AEW is currently enjoying a working relationship with NJPW, with Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, and Lance Archer all working NJPW shows, whilst KENTA, Hikuleo, and Yuji Nagata have worked AEW shows. If Danielson is indeed All Elite, then a match/series of matches with Ospreay would definitely be doable.
