In a major announcement on Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson revealed that because of the actions of Chris Jericho and Jake Hager at Double Or Nothing, he had not been cleared to compete at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and Blood & Guts.

Danielson noted he would have liked to face Zack Sabre Jr. at the June 26 pay-per-view but he has found a replacement for ZSJ. That replacement will be the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club - the faction Danielson is a part of with Jon Moxley, William Regal, and Wheeler Yuta.

Sabre then made his way to the ring and had a staredown with The American Dragon to end the segment.

Danielson has been out of action since the May 29 Double Or Nothing pay-per-view when he competed in the Anarchy In The Arena Match alongside Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz against the Jericho Appreciation Society. Danielson suffered the loss for the team after he was choked out with the ring rope by Jake Hager.

The American Dragon has been with All Elite Wrestling since September of 2021 and he has been presented as one of the promotion's top stars.
