Beautiful Bobby Eaton, widely regarded as one of the finest tag-team wrestlers in history, has sadly died at the age of 62.

Eaton passed away on Wednesday and was confirmed by his sister, Deborah, on Facebook. She wrote:

"I never wanted to have to post this, but my Little Brother Beautiful Bobby Eaton passed away last night.  When I find out all the details I will post them.

"Bobby was the kindest, loving person you would ever meet. I loved him so much and going to miss him. Please say a prayer for my niece Taryn, she found him . And she just lost her Mom a little over a month ago."

PWInsider notes that Eaton had been hospitalised over the past several weeks, forcing him to miss T-Mart Promotions' The Gathering II convention, which would have seen him reunite with other members of The Midnight Express.

Making his wrestling debut in 1976, Eaton worked across multiple promotions including NWA, WCW, Mid-South Wrestling, Mid-America Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions. Undoubtedly, Eaton is best remembered for his time in the Midnight Express. Under the management of Jim Cornette, he originally teamed with Dennis Condrey and, later on, with Stan Lane.

Everyone at Cultaholic wishes to extend our deepest condolences to Bobby Eaton's friends, family, loved ones and fans at this difficult time.
